The Danish Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects provides skilled architectural services all around the globe, with a distinguished commitment to the Nordic architectural traditions they designed the CO2-neutral timber building, Framehouse, for shared office spaces.
Framehouse demonstrates modern office facilities and high ambitions for sustainability. It is a CO2-neutral timber building by Schmidt Hammer Lassen created for shared office spaces. The name ‘Framehouse’ refers to the solid wooden frame structure that allows owners and users to easily expand, transform, divide, and consolidate depending on space needs. Most used materials are douglas fir, hard-pressed oak, cement-bonded wood fibre, which all can be reused or recycled. For the interior, Danish Vipp has designed most of the furniture, from lamps and chairs to kitchens and their iconic trash bin. In 2020, Framehouse was nominated for Office Building of the Year in Denmark by The Union of Architects and Designers (FAOD).
